Annual challenge organised by Colliers International raises £4,500 for Malcolm Gunter Foundation
Bristol, June 10 – Property professionals from around the South West took part in Colliers International’s TRYathlon - and raised £4,500 for the Malcolm Gunter Foundation. Around 250 competitors took on a 400m swim, 16km cycle and 5km run, either as individuals or teams of three, at Tockington Manor School in South Gloucestershire. This year’s event raised funds for a charity set up in memory of Malcolm Gunter, a prominent Bristol property professional for over 30 years most notably as co-founder of Williams Gunter Hardwick.
Malcolm was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2017 and died the following year. The Malcolm Gunter Foundation (www.malcfoundation.co.uk) was set up to support Malcolm’s family and others in their situation, and to fund further research into the disease. The fastest male under 40 and overall winner of this year’s Bristol TRYathlon was Oliver Kolodseike, in a time of just 50 minutes and 28 seconds. Meanwhile the fastest female aged under 40 was Jo Crofts, of Knight Frank, who completed the event in 1 hour, 3 minutes and 53 seconds. Tim Davies, head of Colliers International in the South West and Wales, said: “Our TRYathlon has got bigger and bigger every year, and once again the event was sold out.
“We were particularly delighted to have attracted more children and families this year and everybody involved dug deep to complete the challenge and help raise money for a fantastic cause.”
